Feature/Useability Request - Refreshes

Hi,

Today I added a bunch if new items into XBMC. These items belonged to sets.

After XBMC added them to the library, I sync'd the remote by pulling down within the Movies section, and all was well.

Then I went into the Sets section, and the new sets weren't there. Thinking that it was an XBMC issue, I removed the items and re-added, but no change. The remote did not show the new sets.

Long story short, it took a while to figure out that not only does one have to refresh the 'Movie' section, but ALSO the sets! This is not very userfriendly, as when one syncs the movies, it's expected that the associated meta data for movies (which includes sets) is also updated.

Thanks for reading! Smile

Hi,

The app doesn't have an internal db, but caches the results of the json calls VideoLibrary.GetMovies and VideoLibrary.GetMovieSets, so from the remote app point of view they are two separated things.

If you haven't a big movie library, you can disable the content cache from the app settings (device settings > xbmcRemote > App settings section) you shouldn't notice speed differences
