So im thinking of getting the Logitech G930 headset and its USB only so i was thinking of having a 3.5 jack or something like a USB dongle as input and the usb for output. the question is is it possible and if yes is there any software required to go along with it.

xbmc doesn't support USB audio on Pi. You need to use analogue headphone connector, or hdmi for audio output.
