Hi,

This used to work on the previous version of XBMC I had (installed several years ago)....

When I play music I want the TV to be black, except to briefly show the current track information.

When the current track finishes, I want the next track information to display, and then disappear.

I've been searching for a solution to this for hours.

What almost works:

• Set the XBMC screensaver to 1 minute and Black
  
• Set visualization to None for Audio playback
  

The problems with this are:

• After a few tracks XBMC just stops playing the music until you hit a key on the remote
  
• It never shows the track information again.

No screensaver, unless you want the entire screen to go black and stay that way at some point.
Set visualisation to none for audio playback. The track info should auto hide in most skins.

What version of XBMC and which skin do you use ?

I'd tried that screensaver/visualization combination before, but it didn't work.

The INFO (or 'i') toggle was the key factor.

Works exactly how I want now.

BTW, I upgraded to XBMC 11 but when that didn't work I upgraded to the latest (Frodo). Default skin.
