[OLD/CLOSED] PseudoTV Live - Set-Top box solution
(2014-11-24, 05:05)Marshall Wrote: New PTVL Skin - ZeroEightOne

Optimized for displays running at 1080 resolution. I plan on doing a few additional color schemes once the initial release has any bugs it may contain worked out.
Test it out, feedback is always appreciated.

Looks great, can you add the sidebar code found in the development branch PTVL skin?

This weekend I switched back to XBMC and tried to reinstall PLTV, but I got "Add-on does not have the correct structure."

I tried installing all the dependencies, but other than that, it's hard to tell what's wrong. I tried the same zip file I downloaded before and also tried re-downloading the file.

Any ideas on how to get this working?

I just had this issue as well. If I download the repo it says "not supported"

I got around this by installing addon installer and using that to install PTVL.

Yeah I like the color coding, but I find it obnoxious when the entire bar is colored.

Speaking of the EPG, I was wondering if those program bars on the EPG can support a beginning, middle and end graphic piece like the seekbar does. Right now it seems like the only option is to make an image that gets scaled to the length of the program... which causes inconsistencies in the gaps between each program. It's not a big deal, but I notice it.

I did reboot. I uninstalled and reinstalled both the patch and PTVL. I am running Gotham. Whether I have the patch or not, the skins PTVL and Concast just show fanart. However, for the Default skin, if I do not have windowpatcher then it will not find any artwork at all, if I do have windowpatcher it'll have the video running in the bottom right corner (which makes no sense to have with the default skin) and you can tell that the video being played is actually layered over the fan art because you can see the edges. Weird. I'm also fully updated to 5.6 and I don't have the sidebar, not sure if that's related at all. In any event, I think this may have happened before and just fixed itself when the next update came out. I just wonder if I am the only one having this problem, I really like the Concast skin and would love to have video playing instead of the fan art.

Is there a collection of other fan made skins somewhere?

Check that. When I have Windowpatch disabled in concast it shows just the fanart. But when I do have it enabled it looks like this http://i.imgur.com/rtF5XXg.jpg

Not sure what happened. Worked totally fine before the update. Think maybe I need to reinstall one of the modules?
Video window patcher has nothing to do with artwork...

Try manually deleting your xbmc skin, reinstall... reapply patch and reboot xbmc
Looking at the pics of Marshall's skin, I don't see how artwork has nothing to do with the live window(no real estate for both). I had thought it was both(live window in guide/artwork after channel is selected), when I enabled artwork the live window was replaced with the artwork, and after disabling artwork repatching, restarting, I only get the PTVL logo. Is there any way to have the live window when in epg view, and artwork when the channel is loaded/info is brought up?

I don't have a log because the problem is already fixed but I noticed one thing about the patching.

In my experience, I had to reinstall the patch after every update. A simple remove and apply did not do anything. I actually had to apply the patch, and then go into the settings, hit patch again, say no to removal and then say yes to reapply. And then it worked. What i didn't realize at first was if you said no to remove you were given the option to reapply. I was simply removing and applying the patch and it wasn't working.

I don't know why but the key is reapplying it.
Hi I've been using XBMC for a while now, and recently I installed PseudoTV Live, mostly for making channels with my youtube subscriptions. I was doing fine but, recently I started to get an error of XBMC being unable to reproduce channels made of youtube sources. I don't now if it was just me or what. But I prefer to post it in case is useful to anybody.

(My vesion of both XBMC and Pseudo TV is fully update)

The error in the XBMC log was:
Code:
ERROR: Playlist Player: skipping unplayable item: 9, path [plugin://plugin.video.bromix.youtube/?action=play&id=xkVXV_I6mRA]

I found the definition of the youtube player used, in line 3335 of ChannelList.py on the resurces/lib folder in the plugin root:
Code:
path = 'plugin://plugin.video.bromix.youtube/?action=play&id='

In the Youtube's Bromix plugin page, he says that the uri for calling the videos is 'plugin...://.../play/?video_id=afhdfs324', so I change the line 3335 to :
Code:
path = 'plugin://plugin.video.bromix.youtube/play/?video_id='

I had to parse the channels again and then it worked.

I'm not shure if this is supposed to be here, sorry!
I love the plugin, i'll love to help!

This is normal... Its been mention a number of times if you manually update or change PTVL or xbmc skins you need to reapply patch.

This worked for me, I had always figured 'reapply' meant that when it it found it I needed to remove it and patch it again. All this for nothing though, I remember the live window being in the artwork box, Concast skin has it as full screen background which interferes with the EPG. Are there any skins that do still do this(checked included skins), or is that spot reserved for artwork?

I'll try and improve the logic of the videowindow patcher... but it's a hacky patch... I'd rather see skinners add the support so I wouldn't have to patch their skins.
