Linux Adding Raid5 to existing LVM
#1
Hello,
I have a pretty expansive LVM
4x2TB + 2x4TB + 4x500GB + 1TB
Now of that 19TB I am only currently using ~12TB
This means that 1 of the 4TB drives can be completely empty.

What I would like to do is remove a 4TB drive from the LVM and make it the redundant drive.

I was wondering if this is possible?

The search results all seem to make the presumption that you're just creating the LVM. I do not have 12TB in order to offload and then reload. I would like to add raid5 to my existing LVM
XBMC on MacMini + <12TB of material displaying on 60" or 150".
