NFS Special Characters not showing

Hi
I have a vast movie collection so i haven't noticed this problem before now.

I run XBMC Live / XBMCbuntu.
My server is hosting NFS which the XBMC easily find and add to the library.
Example shares added to XBMC:
nfs://192.168.0.151/g/
nfs://192.168.0.151/e/
nfs://192.168.0.151/d/

As said XBMC has no problem finding these folders and adding sub directories to the library.
The problem is if i.e a folder is:
nfs://192.168.0.151/d/morten koch/rofl/ -will work
but if it contains either æ,ø,å as:,
nfs://192.168.0.151/d/morten koch/røfl/ - wont work
t wont find it : It wont add it to the library and if i try to add it as a source it wont find it in the source explorer window thingy. Also if i add the parent directory as a folder with the content type set to None(Believe that is what it is called) it wont allow me to browse to it(exactly as when using source explorer)

I've googled around but haven't found a solution so far.

Anybody encoutered this problem before ?

Sincerely yours,

Depends on the underlaying filesystem on the nfs server. NFS is agnostic to used filesystem encodings. It assumes UTF8 on XBMC. Ensure that your filesystem uses UTF8 on the server aswell and it should work ...

Omg i feel so stupid right now.

my server is a Windows server running HaneWin NFS Server and i never even had the thought that it might be the server that was the problem

But sure enough just enabled UTF-8 in HaneWin and everything is working now.
Thanks !Smile
