Hi, I was wondering if is possible to restore an entire HDD with an XBMC image for the ATV1.
My ATV1 HDD is completed ereased so I need the entire image for this "new" hard drive, I think an entire linux based image
Any suggestion?

You can install Crystalbuntu or OpenELEC onto a totally blank HDD, if that is what you are asking.

do it thru openelec, i had issues when i restored using the crystalbuntu stick, go to openelec.tv and read the wiki, step by step, there should be aa section about restore, be aware that i had to use the restore 2, and not the 3, due to it hanging up, and it is also talked about, its easy to make the usb patch stick, then after the restore is complete upgrade thru the atv to the newest version, and then use openelec, and reinstall it either on the hd or usb to run xbmc frodo 12.2
