Issue with Jumping/Stuttering Video
#1
Hi

The BBC have various streams on their website as part of their news and children's content. These often include short video clips, interviews or just general reportage.

These play fine on the website from an embedded Flash player, and I can also capture them direct from the website using rtmpdump and provided I don't try and transcode away from Flash, the audio/video play perfectly.

However, if I send the same librtmp command to XBMC (or in fact I transcode a saved .flv file and then play back the mp4), I get a stutter in the playback on video and audio every 2-3 seconds.

An example would be this http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/23342670 which generates perfectly playable .flv file if downloaded, but turns to custard if I pass the same rtmpdump commands to librtmp in XBMC....

My question is, what am I doing wrong ? I am presuming that there are several streams in the download, and I'm flipping between streams, hence stuttering, but I don't have a clue of how to fix this ?

With apologies for being quite so IQ Zero on this Confused
