Broken Yahoo! Weather
Thanks! I'll spin up a fresh system install and only install Yahoo Weather. I'll do this before 3pm local, as I'm sure it then or 4pm that issue two crops up.

Issue 1?!? Wow, I battled this many, many times until I got wise and started using the XML file. Perhaps that was only in OpenELEC and I haven't tried it with LibreELEC without an XML ... I'll see what happens on this fresh install.

I'll provide a log.

Thanks,

RLW
Yahoo! Weather 3.3.1 just went bonkers today on 2 of my machines. I tried installing 4.2.1 and 4.2.3 but neither would install (dependencies Huh).

My setup:

Intel i5 NUC
OpenElec 6.0.3 (latest stable version)
Kodi 15.2

Update: It started to work normally again. Maybe it's Yahoo playing with the settings ? The temperature was reading anywhere from 0 to 285 degrees F earlier. Very strange.

those versions are not compatible with kodi 15.2
yahoo weather 3.3.1 is the latest version for kodi 15.2

Thanks for that info. Both my machines are still acting up even after a reboot. The error says "Yahoo Weather Error - Check the log for more information". The temperature is displaying 293 degrees F now. The problem is intermittent. This problem just started today.
luckily the error tells you what to do ;-)

293 Kelvin ?

FWIW, I have had this a few times recently, and at least twice today. Unfortunately, I don't have a log of it, but as it appeared to sort itself out after a while, I presume its something to do with Yahoo, rather than the add-on.

Certainly at this moment in time, it's working correctly.

Ok, fresh install with only Yahoo Weather and the log uploader installed.

1) I was able to type "Fort Qu'Appelle" in the location and it was acceptable without a problem. This is "new", having had constant problems doing exactly this for over a year. I'm speculating but this may have started working due to either an update in the Yahoo Weather add-on or my switch to LibreELEC and I missed the fact it was working again because I adapted and used a saved XML file for quite a while.

2) I checked today's high temp around 3:25 local time and it was showing 1C (accurate). I checked again shortly after 4pm and it's showing -17C.

The log file is here:

thx for the log! it's indeed how yahoo reports the temp:

Yep, utterly incorrect and has been for quite a while now. Only today's high is wrong and only after roughly 4:00pm

Same problem here: Yahoo weather just stopped working today. I'm on Kodi 15.2 Git:02e7013 and can't update.
There is no alternative weather-plugin for me now. They all report "Error parsing data!". Yahoo Weather Addon is version 3.3.1.
Not working here either Sad
Nor for me, it has done this a number of times before for me, then corrects itself.
ok, let me explain how it works:-)
you need to post a Debug Log with a proper problem description.

'me too' and 'same here' doesn't tell me anything useful in order to help you.

@ronie

Yahoo weather just failed on me a few minutes ago.

Hopefully this will help you track it down. (Don't have a proper debug log, as Kodi wasn't in debugging mode when it happened).

Code:
18:44:29 T:139769003673344   ERROR: EXCEPTION Thrown (PythonToCppException) : -->Python callback/script returned the following error<--

-->End of Python script error report<--

If you need a debug log, just shout and I'll enable debugging and grep out the relevant bits for you.

Currently, (according to the addon) its 131F (feels like 122F)

Still think it's the site returning the wrong (or no) info.
