Hello.
I've just recently installed xbmc and I'm loving it so far but I have a strange problem with xbmc not recognizing movies based on a fodler name.

For instance
folder "Cloclo.2012" ==> "Coolockland" (??):
folder "Alice.(2009) not properly processed Alice (2010)
folder Bergblut.2010 ==>> Bergblumen 0_0
folder election.2005 ===> not properly processed
Are there any rules needed to be followed when naming a folder? Do i need to put a year in () or something like that?
xbmc seems to be dealing just fine with complex scene names but

Scanning options: based on folder name+ folder contains one video file on
I tried also based on folder name+recursive
Im using universal movie scrapper
Thank you in advance

In a lot of cases the name may be listed as something else on the DB (sometimes a search of the DB will give a clue) and yes parenthesis around the date seems to work well over periods as separators. Sometimes if the issuing date and release date are not the same, the scraper has issues. XBMC is a work in progress, and as such there has been improvements in the scraper and it's accuracy, be patient and deal with these issues as best you can for now.

Thanx for clarifying all thisWink
So far it works really good with movies with rare exceptions(not talking here about dvd's with video_ts folders, they are a pain) but there is something strange with tv series

Maybe you could gimme a tip on TV twin peaks?

folder Twin.Peaks.Season.1
just "s01e0x" files

I name the source simply Twin Peaks

I don't get any information at all ;( absolutely nothing do i need to get the Tv series title to all episodes?

Ok. I made it work.. added tv series title to every episode and and 2 folders season 1 and 2..oh well

Have a look over this thread http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=51614 but in general I find scraping TV shows pretty picky. Using theRenamer.com has been a terrific tool. Usually a quick search will get you the naming convention... http://thetvdb.com/?tab=advancedsearch
