Amber is highly recommended on Pi.

i know this must be pretty noob but how do i find skins?
i went to settings / appearances/ skin selected the get more but nothing is showing. just blank with 0 items
i have noticed im not getting any addons as if the repositories arent working on any machine in the house

I'm using this skin at the moment, it's very lightweight and runs great on the RPI.

There is a addon section under settings, you can access the repositories through there.

A. Make sure your internet connection to configured properly

B. Go to Addons and press C and there should be some kind of refresh or update options, those should update so the repos show)

I've done quite abit research on USB 3.0 for the Pi

here are the top two I found

Lexar 16GB 100 MB/s JumpDrive S23 USB 3.0 Flash Drive Memory Stick - Blue
If your in the UK buy it from Amazon and include this for free delivery
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00B0YW9CW/ref=nosim £9.86
http://www.amazon.co.uk/pewterhooter-Pai...B004AAHR84 £0.20
TOTAL: £10.06

heres a review
http://usb-flash-drives.whoratesit.com/L...tab=Review

now a monster of a USB 3. Infact I believe its really an SSD in a flash drive
SanDisk SDCZ80-016G-X46 Extreme USB 3.0 16GB
Image
RANDOM WRITE SHOULD READ 4.58 MB/s they did another battery of tests.
http://usb-flash-drives.whoratesit.com/S...ating/1301
site says around £16, you'll have to look around

I'm really tempted to buy the Sandisk but I was thinking I've already got the standard TRANSCEND JETFLASH 760
It will be a waste of money. Especially since andoird devies are dropping in price and If I keep my money I can save for a faster hardware and not do incremental upgrades to older hardware

But if I was to buy for the first time my first USB I would definetly get the sandisk one
The stick is a monster. The main thing to look at is 4k /read/write
namely the
RANDOM WRITE 4.58 MB/s
RANDOM READ 15.3 MB/s

nothing even comes close. My stick is probably running at 0.2 MB/s random write MAX

i found quartz my favorite skin.
not as light weight as id like because the Pi takes a little bit to load the images but id prefer images than not have them.

thanks all for guiding me through really appreciate it

I always stick with default confluence. the main reason is that on any other skin you will always miss some fanart or movie covers. That has been my experience. Try it Bert02 look through an addon with both skins..
