Linux Video stutter and no audio on start playback
#1
Video playback stutters when a video playback starts. It takes a few seconds to display the next frame and there's no audio playback.
The odd thing is when I interact with the playback (by pressing pause or seek), the video "catches up" and plays perfectly with sound.

This issue occurs when I enable the option "Dolby Digital capable receiver" with both HD (with dts audio) and SD (with analog audio) video files.
The audio system is configured as a passthrough device to a dolby digital / dts capable receiver.

What could be the cause of the stutter at the beginning which is solved when I pause and play again?

System used: Linux htpc 3.2.0-52-generic-pae #78-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jul 26 16:43:19 UTC 2013 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
XBMC version: 12.2 Git:32b1a5e
