Linux Can I have x11vnc to keep running automatically and permanently?
#1
To access the XBMC (XBMCBuntu) computer remotely I have found the following:
log into your xbmc machine via putty and do
sudo apt-get install x11vnc
and then
sudo x11vnc -display :0

This works, but every time when I want to access the screen remotely, I have to repeat the last command before I can connect.
Can I have x11vnc to keep running automatically and permanently?

Usually the mouse pointer becomes a dot instead of your standard cursor, are you sure you're just not seeing it?

Yes, I see it on my laptop but not on my TV.

That's very weird. I haven't seen that before, you'd have to consult Google.

Why Google?
Is this the XBMC forum or not?

Yes it's the XBMC forum, not a forum for VNC issues.
