Platforms which I use
  • Windows XP Home + XBMC
  • XBMCbuntu
  • OpenELEC (boot from USB Pen drive)

SO WHERE IS THE PROBLEM
XBMC freeze but only image...when I listen Radio I can listen but without graphics (image is still there but XBMC dont react on keyboard, Android remote etc.)
I can use ssh (openelec and XBMCbuntu) without problem. Temperature is about 50-65°C. Same problem is in Windows XP ... system is OK but program freezes.

HOW OFTEN?
Sometimes after 15 minutes, sometimes after 45 minutes. Image freeze in video, vizualizations or just on menu (nothing playing or streaming). I can you Windows XP without problem all day (without XBMC)

I tested my hardware on Windows with OCCT 4.4 (CPU, CPU linpack, VGA - everything about 3 hours - no problem)
I tried another Pen drive for OpenELEC
I tried also Live image (same problem)
I tested memory with Memtest
I have that laptom connected with VGA cable to the projector (problem is still there without cable connection)

I have also Rasberry Pi in living room (there is also running TV server)

WHAT CAN I DO (SHOULD I?)
I can use it without HDD (with openelec) but I dont think that this is the right way.
I can swap memory for 2GB DDR2
Post any log you want

Can someone help me?

I'm not sure I follow exactly which problem occurs on what platform, and surely you're not having exactly the same problems across so many different hard/software platforms!?

It might be easier for others to help if you focus on 1 system at a time, and tackle each problem as they come. So decide exactly what you'd like to do first; standalone? OS? hardware? and follow the wiki to install on that system[0]. Then enable debugging[1], and when you hit a problem, post what you did and what happened; including a post of the debug log to xbmclogs.com (or similar).

You sound like you know what you're doing, so I hope this is helpful for you.

I wonder about that SMART issue you say you're having. That can definitely freeze and lockup systems. If you're having the issue when that hard drive is plugged in, then maybe it is that drive. When the system freezes listen closely to the hard drive for repetitive seek noises. It'll do that a lot when the drive runs into a sector it can't read. I've seen some hard drive's SMART not work correctly in flagging and moving bad sectors too. Since it says it has possible bad sectors you probably do. Also check your event viewer in Windows for any clues, like disk read errors.
