First HTPC
#1
So I'm about to build my first HTPC for watching movies along with some gaming. I wanted to make sure the parts I'm using are compatible and make sense. Here is a list of my parts. I'm sticking with the integrated graphics card for now but plan on adding a card to use the dual graphics in the future. I'm also sticking to the single SSD with an external HDD for now but may add an internal HDD for the future. I wanted to make sure I would have enough space for these and that my PSU is powerful enough to run it. Also if anyone sees any cheaper prices then these let me know. Thanks!

This is a gaming PC with no graphics card and an unnecessarily small PSU. Maybe you should work out what specs you need to play the games you want to play. The HTPC side of it seems more like an afterthought ... sure you could put XBMC on it, but you can do that on almost any PC.

The A10 is quite capable for gaming, and so there really won't be a need for a GFX card.
I agree, if you plan on adding more hard drives, a larger PSU should be considered.

I have full intention of adding a graphics card in the future but I don't have the money right now. If you could point out a better psu that would work I would appreciate that. Thanks

Here's what I used for my A10,..the Corsair Builder Series CX 500 Watt ATX/EPS 80 PLUS (CX500). For me, it's a little bit of an overkill,..but at least I can expand without worrying about the PSU. For you,..it might be good, especially if you'll be adding multiple drives. It also looks like the price dropped since I brought it. It was $75,..but now it's $49, That is a great deal IMO.

I'm going to go with that PSU because I found it on newegg for $50 with a $20 rebate. Just wanted to make sure it would fit in my case fine?

I went on pcpartpicker.com and they listed the CX500M which is the same supply just semi-modular. I found that one for $5 more so I'm going to go with that one I think.

You better look again. The case you want calls for a Mini-ITX motherboard. The Motherboard you want is not a mini-ITX.
