I want to drill a 10mm hole in a similar case and I want it to come out nice and neat. Any tips on the drilling, deburring and making it look professional without damaging the finish at all? I have a titanium drill bit for the job, even multiple sizes if I should do it in steps, etc.

BTW, +1 for this whole thread. Well done mate.

I used a bench drill and if I was doing it again, I'd definitely put some protection over it so I didn't scratch it when moving it around. If you only want to do one hole. Start with a smaller hole and work up to your 10mm.

For the deburring I just used a deburring tool to remove the loose bits of excess metal from drilling out. Am working on respraying the lid as I don't like the silver holes it's made. They didn't grow on me Wink
