[ATV2andXBMC]

Hi! I love the XBMC Remote App on my iPod. The only thing that really bugs me is having to use Apple's Remote App to wake up my ATV2 and start XBMC.

Can XBMC not include the basic connectivity to wake up ATV2 and use gesture control for Navigation in the ATV2 frontrow menu? With that simple add-on, I had never to leave the XBMC Remote App for full control of the ATV2.

Don't know about gesture controls, but waking the ATV2 is not possible via the remote app (or any remote app - for that matter). The remote has to rely purely on http to communicate with the ATV, whereas the remote that wakes the ATV2 is using IR for that.

My guess would be that the ATV does not support WoL, so it is not possible to wake the ATV via the remote. But I may be wrong on that account.
