Hello everyone! Just registered here now to get your guys suggestions on what HTPC to get. Here is what my requirements are:
1) HTPC will be connected to 720p TV
2) used for streaming movies via YouTube, Amazon or other web-browser based sites via WiFi (also iTunes)
3) no optical disc or locally stored files playback is necessary
4) audio will go trough TV speakers
5) if possible, would like to be able to run Linux but without a huge time investment for tweaking/troubleshooting etc.
6) no DIY building -- do not have time/enthusiasm to build a machine now but wouldn't mind adding/replacing a component or two in a factory built unit
I was wondering if something like Acer Revo might work but there are so many different sub-models of it...
Also thinking about Mac Mini (again hoping to avoid Windows OS) but they are expensive.
