ok so i am building a new HTPC and wish to run xbmcbuntu, Here is the hardware.

Amd Phenom II 3.0 Quad Core 945

my question is this to i need to use the intel-amd.iso, or the intel-nvidia
i understand the chipset on the board is amd, but the graphics drivers are nvidia. Do i need to run the amd version and update the graphics drivers to nvidia, or would i beable to run the nvidia version seeing that the board doesn't have any on board video. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also i am aware of xbmc windows but im trying to use that as a last resort.

Thanks
Kyle

also will the hd audio work with no issues or would i need other drivers

ok so neither are working it says it installs but then when it comes time for the restart it cant reboot the system it cant reboot. So i manually reboot it and then upon start up it bring me to the command line. Any help would be appreciated. Also to note when installing the intel-nvidia it gives me an amd_unicode error like for times and then it brings up the installer screen.

What kind of command line?

You can try updating the system with

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade

Or try Openelec.
