XBMCbuntu distro question from noob
#1
Hi,

Apologies if this has been asked here before but I couldn't find any definitive answers searching the threads.

I have a ASUS P8H77-M PRO motherboard with an Intel i3-3225. I plan to use the Intel HD4000 GPU.
Which XBMCbuntu distro should I download? Intel-AMD or Intel-NVIDIA?

Thanks in advance.

I have the same CPU...can't seem to find the answer for which distro I'm supposed to use, Intel-AMD or Intel- Nvidia. Been looking on the Wiki page, but it just says "XBMCbuntu comes in two flavors depending on what kind of graphics card you use. You want the "Intel-Nvidia" version for Intel and Nvidia graphics cards, and the "AMD" version for AMD/ATI graphics cards. The "Intel" and "AMD" versions don't apply to the CPU. In other words, if you have an AMD CPU, but you have an Intel or Nvidia GPU, then you want the "Intel/Nvidia" version."

Nothing about HD4000 GPU. Which did you use?

Best Regards

Tommy

I'm sorry if I'm being thick...but both of them have the name Intel in them, don't they? Intel-Nvidia. and Intel-AMD? It's obviously something I fail to see here LOL Smile
