Hi

I have written my first python script. It makes a hhtp post to my home automation pc, so it turns lights off etc.

I have put it in appdata/scripts

looking around the forum, and the internet. I can't figure out how to run the script. I am running Frodo and looking through the menus I can't see anything to reference or configure a way to execute the script, a button to run it for example.

I would eventually like to add this script or reference it in the CinemaExpierence script.

Thanks for any help and I am very sorry if this is a basic question.

Any number of ways. Add it as a Favourite; map it to a keyboard shortcut key or remote control button; add it as a home page shortcut if your skin supports that capability; launch it automatically at XBMC startup, etc.

Take a look at the philips hue plugin, it does a similar thing.
