we all know that the xenium ice os has usb pen drive support,
since xbmc has its own os, can someone not write a driver or stript to enable usb pen drive support for xbmc, to allow music to be played from a pen drive or copied from it.etc,etc..

is this possible and how would someone go about doing this?

1. xbmc is not an os.. its an application. (jm is rather defensive about that)

2. xbmc does support usb drives, only some are quirky. you can get a usb adapter for your controller port (or make one via xbox-scene tutorials) and access it by simply adding the proper shortcut to your file browser or videos or whatever. drive letters are here somewhere if you search for usb drive or the like (i did a post on what the dash assigns the drive letters as depending on which port you use.

3. the one issue is, if you boot to the xbox dash with the drive attached it may recognize it as a memory card and format it as such meaning you can kiss plug and play in a pc goodbye but you can edit filezilla so you could ftp to the thing.

4. i know i had a point when i started typing this... but for the life of me i cant recall what it is.
