Ember and Norton
#1
Years back when Ember was abandoned I was very unhappy because no real alternative to this cool piece of software was existing...and still does not exist. Just yesterday I stumbled upon your continued efforts and that made me really smile. Many many thanks for it.

Grabbing a copy right away, I was kind of annoyed to see this stupid Norton AntiVirus "Reputation something" error. I submitted it as false positive and pretty quickly received an answer by Symantec:

Quote:In relation to submission [3346720].

Upon further analysis and investigation we have verified your submission and as such this detection will be removed from our products.

The updated detection will be distributed in the next set of virus definitions, available via LiveUpdate or from our website at http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avc...nload.html

Decisions made by Symantec are subject to change if alterations to the Software are made over time or as classification criteria and/or the policy employed by Symantec changes over time to address the evolving landscape.

If you are a software vendor, why not take part in our whitelisting program?
