I an android nightly on my Nexus 10 last night and got everything settled (some clip playback problem, but that's harder and for later), but I could find the "always use channel order from backend" in the PVR settings.

Was it removed? Obviously I want to have XBMC use the same channel listings as mythtv, which uses Comcasts.

Assuming Confluence as skin: open the Live TV settings and press the left arrow to open the side menu and change the "Level" field to advanced or expert.
