I need to buy new bits for my HTPC as my ex took the one we built together. I'm on a fairly limited budget, so please bare that in mind if your going to make suggestions. I've had a bit of a search around and not really clued up about computers to make an informed decision so I'm here for your guidance.

I've just come across this and this, which both seem like a good deal especially for the asking price. Would either of these make a good HTPC?

"HDMI Port 1 x HDMI "

From the specifications tab, however looking at the image it doesnt seem to have one. Cheers for the links I'll look at them now. I was outputting 7.1 via the HDMI port on the HTPC we had, using a Nvidia GT610. Will those motherboards output 7.1 through the HDMI as I plug it into my Onkyo AVR first before passing video stream to the TV.
