Android Remote App Context menu button???
#1
I don't know if this is the correct place to ask but....
I am using XBMC 12.2 on a Raspberry Pi and it works pretty well.
I am using the official Android XBMC Remote App (and sometimes the iPhone XBMC remote app) to control the system.
That is convenient since I don't have a mouse/keyboard connected to my Pi.

But I have trouble when configuring stuff using the remote apps. Huh
1. Cannot add to favorites
For example I have in vain tried every button I can think of in order to bring up the context menu to add folders and files to my favorites.
But nothing works so I have had to bring out my big PC keyboard in order to hit the "C" button. Very annoying.

2. Cannot activate OK button on various configuration dialogs
Another example is when selecting source for videos etc on the network, because there is no way to reach the OK button.
Had to connect my mouse just in order to click OK...

Am I not supposed to be able to do these things using the remote app?

And is there a user's manual for the remote apps?

EDIT:
I found that the context menu is available on the iPhone XBMC remote app by long press MENU as described here.
But on the Android remote app long pressing the menu button does not cut it.
This button acts like the HOME button on the iPhone app, i.e. it transfers to the main home screen.
Not exactly what one wants...
Is there some bug fixing being done on this app at all?
I found that already in July 2013 people were complaining on the forum about this deficiency....

You should use "Yatse" for Android. It works fine for me and the context button is at the "remote"-screen.

To click the ok button just push left or right instead of down and it will highlight the ok button.

I second Yatse though it's great much better than the offical app.
