ATV2 stuck on 'preparing' and crash on return to ATV main
#1
Platform: ATV2 5.3 (6105)
XBMC Frodo 12.2
Install method: As specified in here http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=HOW..._2#ATV_5.x Worked out fine

Debug log: http://pastebin.com/bZphRbt9
And found this one: http://pastebin.com/peHXv5nG
Latestcrashreport: http://pastebin.com/EaB8c9kg <-- Not sure if this is the correct one, did my best.

I use this setup with a Synology with NFS setup correctly (I figure). However, in half of the startups of xbmc, it is stuck at "Preparing.." where it could say "Scanning for new content". Itdoes not disappear, and when I try to return to Apple TV Main menu, it crashes. I looked into correct NFS settings, enable WOL on my synology, so not sure what to do now.

Update:
Code:
18:08:40 T:128118784   ERROR: NFS: Failed to mount nfs share: /volume1/Media (mount/mnt call failed with "")
18:08:40 T:128118784 WARNING: Process directory 'nfs://10.0.0.22//volume1/Media/Movies/' does not exist - skipping scan.
NFS does not seem to work that great

Update:
I removed one of the NFS station, but that did not seem to work, because I still get:

Code:
http://pastebin.com/bBbPZqsD
20:37:36 T:127242240   DEBUG: NFS: Context for 10.0.0.22/volume1/Media not open - get a new context.
20:37:36 T:127242240   ERROR: NFS: Failed to mount nfs share: /volume1/Media (mount/mnt call failed with "")
20:37:36 T:127242240 WARNING: Process directory 'nfs://10.0.0.22//volume1/Media/Movies/' does not exist - skipping scan.
20:37:36 T:127242240   DEBUG: NFS: Refreshing context for 10.0.0.22/volume1/Media, old: 16445, new: 16519
20:37:36 T:127242240   DEBUG: NFS: Using cached context.

If I start XBMC for the first time after a boot (a fresh tethered boot), it always work
If I shut down XBMC and then restart it again, it starts in the endless "preparing.." mode. When I try to shut down XBMC, it hangs and I can only do a reboot if I remove the power cable and boot it tethered again.

I have seemed to solve it. What might have been causing the problem is my NAS and that I accidentaly had a wrong NFS entry to get the movies from. I did nothing special to be honest, I just reset my entire device.

You will lose all your settings, library etc that is stored on the atv

1. Restore Apple TV to original firmware (shift-click in itunes on Restore Apple TV and select the 5.3 ipsw that you can download online)
2. After that it said activation failed in the general section, but I ignored that
3. Rejailbreak my atv (5.3 tethered <- same version as before)
4. Added my NFS share as a network location (I put in my server address and /volume1/Media (synology)) and added the folder on my NFS share for my Movies to be scanned
5. Waited for it to complete
6. Quick test if the movie streams correctly.
7. Exit XBMC (to check if it has any problems with preparing etc)
8. Added the folder for TV Shows (which also is on my NFS Share)
9. Waited and tested
10. Succes

Nothing special to be honest, just a reset. And now it works Smile

Another update: It crashed again, after I enabled update media library on startup.

So now I know where the problem is, but I do not know how to fix it. Any help?
