[Linux] How much shared memory (Haswell i3)?
#1
I did a search and haven't found a satisfatory answer yet, neither here nor using Google; a few discussions but nothing conclusive. My question is: on a dedicated XBMC ubuntu box, how much DRAM do I need to allocate as VRAM in an Asrock H87M mobo with a Haswell i3? The default, which is 256MB, seems to work fine and I also suspect that if I choose anything different from that I'll experience some instabilities and/or video stutter. Has anyone had a similar experience? I am about to change the amount of VRAM in the computer setup from 512MB back to default (256MB), will any of the XBMC features suffer from this? BTW I have 2 x 2GB DDR3 1600 Kingston X-something (the cheapest one with the blue aluminum heatsink).

Thanks in advance!
