Search is really quite hit & miss on this forum, returning results with barely any of the specified search terms, or with results in the wrong order.

For instance, search for "Thumbnails Cleaner" (title search only), with posts sorted by last post date (descending order) showing results as threads, and hit the search button.

The first post in the results is from March 2013, and the title doesn't contain the term "cleaner", yet this thread with the title "[RELEASE] - Thumbnails Cleaner v1.1.0" doesn't appear at all. On the very last page of results, page 20, there are three posts from today, which follow posts from 2004 - yet the list is in descending post date order, right? Try narrowing the search to those threads with a "Release" prefix, and no results are found at all!

It's totally messed up, anyone with any ideas?

Yeah, seems Wordpress devs share code with MyBB devs.

The search facility is pretty rotten, it's not surprising people post without any apparent attempt to search, even if they do try searching they're unlikely to find anything useful/relevant. Given the current state of search, anyone berating a poster for not searching the forum will be out of line, IMHO.

Searching via google.com site search proves more fruitful, but the forum search itself? Hopeless.
