Multi-Zone Audio Control w/ XBMC...
#1
i'm thinking that given the correct pc application, multiple sound cards, and using the xbmc python engine we could create multi-zone audio controls.

i'm look for people that are either already doing this (with or without xbmc as the controller) or interested in doing this (trying to gauge interest).

here's the ideal software for the multi-zone control...

a) free
b) complete command set available via http

my initial thought is there may be something already available via one of the currently free windows or linux audio players (winamp, mplayer, quintessential player, vlc, etc)
I'm not an expert but I play one at work.

gamester, i actually wanted this in the general section to gain a wide audience... since not everyone looks in the python section. i wanted to "grab" anyone interested and people that currently do multi-zone audio.

please move it back if you would. thanks.

Sad
hmmm, i've moved it back, ...but i don't think it belongs there so think you need a better argument than 'not enough people visit the python forum' (what if eveyone said that), if you want a bigger audience try link to it from your blog or something)
