Win "Connection lost" and "connection failed.." errors

Bug
Hey guys! Hopefully somebody can help me out. I've gone through the forums and seen multiple people with very similar problems but when they find a solution it doesn't seem to work for me.

I'm trying to get NextPVR to work with my XBMC setup and I keep getting the "Connection lost" followed by "Connection failed. Incorrect PIN?" error messages in a continuous, maddening, endless loop, unless I disable TV ( settings > TV ).

Looking at the XBMC log, it seems that for some reason the session login with the addon cannot happen (which doesn't make sense to me since the PIN in XBMC is set to 0000 which is what NextPVR is set as well).

Here's some facts:

- XBMC log: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=85958
- The NPVR service is running in the same computer as XBMC and I'm using the default settings for the service ( port 8866 and PIN 0000 ).
- The Web service seems to be running fine since I can open it in the browser using localhost:8866 or http://127.0.1.1:8866, and even watch live TV there. I can also watch TV in the NextPVR application.
- The three main NPVR executable files have exceptions in Windows Firewall ( NRecord.exe, NextPVR.exe and NDigitalhost.exe)
- Out of curiosity, I even tried a different PVR addon ( ServerWMC using Windows Media Center) and I get the same errors, which leads me to believe the issue is not with the NextPVR server.

Hopefully anybody has any ideas because this it's driving me nuts!

Thank you

Have you changed the PIN in NextPVR at all? Even just typing 0000 in the box? If so, then the PIN hash is probably broken (due to a bug in the 3.1.1 release). You'd need the patch referred to here: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showthread.php?5...arted-Info, then you'd need to reset your pin.

Well that did the trick! I replaced the EXE with the patched version #16 and now it works like a dream. Thank you SO MUCH!
