For the past weeks I've been converting my collection of DVDs and BDs to MKVs. Each movie is in a folder named after the MKV's name as are the .nfo and poster files (except -poster added). Most of the movies show in Raspbmc as thumbnails which play the movie when clicked, but some of the movies show a folder symbol instead of a thumbnail. Clicking on this folder symbol "enters" the folder and now the movie's thumbnail is displayed and will play the movie when clicked. With everything named properly, I assume something in the .nfo controls wither a thumbnail or a folder is displayed but I can't figure out what? The .nfo's contents seem correct. Any ideas of where I should look?

Solved. During scraping some nfo files picked up non-ASCII characters (usually in the "alternativetitle" section). After deleting the non-ASCII characters all movies showed up as thumbnails.
