Mac mini with apple tv remote

Hi.

I have xbmc running on Mac mini late 12.

I want to use a apple remote.

The mac mini are inside a closet so the apple remote wont Work, are there any way around this?

No, you can maybe try a IR blaster

Or take it out of the closet

ok..

so what are my options.

I have tryed flirc with mce remote, to many bugs, dobble clicks and so.

If you really can't part with your IR remote, you can use something like this: http://www.amazon.com/X10-Powermid-PM590...52&sr=1-10

Although, at $40, the other suggestions above may be more cost-effective.
