Livetv (forward streaming) via upnp ?

Hi folks,

I discovered the great upnp server in xbmc. It's fantastic how easy it is to watch videos and music on different machines like a smartphone.

I was wondering if it is possible to do so with livetv. I know, that xbmc is only a client for tv backends, but indepentent from that fact, xbmc opens via pvr addon a media stream - so why not foward it via upnp like other videos ? I ask since there are no platform independent solutions for accessing the tv backends on different machines, for example I didn't find a easy way to watch tv on iPod / Android directly accessing tvheadend server. Accessing upnp devices is no problem.

Might be possible via the UPnP "Play to" feature, but currently it only seems to be working with other XBMC UPnP targets: UPnP/Client#Sending_video_to_other_UPnP_targets (wiki)
