When going to play a video (SD or HD) it plays for roughly 3 seconds, then hangs. I am using the latest Openelec and streaming through smb from an ubuntu box. I couldn't find a clear answer on this, any help would be appreciated.

Hmmm strangely it is now playing after i went to enable debugging. But it hasn't played for the last few days. Here is the log from the last time it wouldn't play.

There's probably an error in ~/.xbmc/userdata/advancedsettings.xml which may be worth fixing - the file is currently being ignored.

Debug is not enabled in settings, so there's not much info in here.

It looks like xbmc has found a archive (probably in the same directory as the video file and is trying to open it).
If the archive is big this can cause problems (like running out of memory).

Also make sure "Extract thumbnail and video information" is disabled - that can also cause crashes with problematic files.
