internetstreams in live tv section
#1
Hi,

First off, sorry if i missed som forum thread about this, but im not sure the search terms to look for.

Is there anyway one can use the live tv / DVR section of xbmc to use live internet streams?

Is there anyway to collect all live streaming plugs example "svt play" and "tv3 play" etc.. in one place?

Or is there a possibility to manually edit a file to make the streams show up? All help is appreciated!

Whould be kinda cool to have a section of xmbc with just live tv streams. But i dont have the possibility to setup my own pvr system with digital cable at home so it would be nice
to utilise the live streams from online.

Im on a ouya box with android as an operating system, if that makes any difference?

All the best
Charlie

What you want is the "iptvsimple" PVR addon. It uses an M3U playlist file to read stream URLs. I have previously used it for SVT Play, you can get the actual HTTP URLs by examining the requests made by your browser when using the official website. This is what I used (I don't use the addon anymore) but I'm not sure if the streams work anymore (I think they switched to HTTPS):

svtplay.m3u Wrote:#EXTM3U tvg-shift=1
#EXTINF:-1 tvg-id="svt1.svt.se" tvg-name="SVT1" tvg-logo="svt1.svt.se" group-title="SVT IPTV",SVT1

Might want to look into PseudoTV Live.

I believe DVBLogic will do this and present as the streams as channels under a virtual tuner. Will also aggregate any DVB-T/T2/S/S2 tuners.

It's not free however.
