I plan to build a dedicated mini PC for xbmc. I have decided on mainboard (zotac h77) but not yet on cpu

Eskro's thread suggests i3 3225 but it is no longer availabe in my place. I have seen i3 4130 today but notice that it has lower GPU clock speed.

Can someone tell which is better for a dedicated xbmc box. I want to play bluray 3d, bistream dts-hd

It must gonna be another type MB if you go with the i3 4130 because that's Socket 1150. But if you're starting fresh you maybe better go for a Haswell solution and not for the Ivy Bridge? I don't understand why the 3225 isn't available anymore in you place, I see it still a buy from stock at many shops here in Holland. I've got one myself last week.

You might try looking for the i3-3245, the successor to the i3-3225. Any i3 though will do 3D and bitstream HD audio.

If you don't have the motherboard yet though I agree with the poster above: go Haswell.
