Audio stuttering with mkv files with Dolby True HD
#1
Any mkv with Dolby True HD that I play has the audio cutting out for a microsecond every so often. The display on my Sony amp starts scrolling 'Dolby True HD' as if the film has just started. What's going on? Probably really simple.

DTS-MA and LPCM fine btw

I also get this problem, for me it only seems to effect films with 7.1 audio. 5.1 plays fine. Yes I have tried all different sound variations. I am sure this is a problem that has raised its head over the past six monthd

Agreed on that ^

I never used to have this problem but since a reformat and clean installation of Win 8.1 + XBMC I have this problem.

And now the issue has come back again.

It seems to go when I wipe xbmc and reinstall but then reappears randomly after a few days Undecided

if you don't use mysql i would simply suggest install the most recent Gotham nightly build.

Do you use the Sync to Display option? this can cause audio drop outs if set to video clock.

Yes this was enabled.

Turned off and initial testing has not brought any stutter. Thankyou

What are the pros and cons of using Sync playback to display?
