I recently added a Marantz AV8001 preprocessor and connected my XBMC Linux PC's hdmi output to the hdmi input of the processor.
I get a good quality picture - no sound.
I set the audio settings to hdmi, 5.1, etc. - and still no audio. I used to get audio when I used the analog jack to a stereo. I am trying to use the digital stream to get true surround sound.
I tried the different HDMI settings available (hdmi - nvidia; hdmi - intel, etc.)
Any suggestions?
(I read as much here as I could on the FAQ's, but no help so far)
