I also have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 model (GT-P7500) and I'm having the same issue.

I have tried the XAF XBMC for Android build, but it crashes after the "First run" screen.

I'm using a 4.3 custom ROM and not the official ROM. I have confirmed and the mentioned file is in place, so I don't know what to do now.

Thanks in advance for any aditional pointers.

Not sure if this is related, but i am running a Samsung Galaxie S4 that was previously running Gotham Beta 1 with no major issue at all.
I tried to install Beta 2 and it seemed to have broken.
Same results with Beta 3.
The error I get on start up is:

This XBMC Package is not compatible
with your device (arm vs. x 86). Please
check the wiki.......

Where I don't see anything obvious.
Any help would be appreciated.

It IS obvious. You downloaded the wrong package.
Take the arm one for S4.

OK, get out the spoon then. When I go to : http://xbmc.org/download/ and scroll down to the Beta 3 release I download the ONLY AVAILABLE Android option there, which is Android (ARM)
You say "Take the one for S4" ?

This is how I successfully loaded the Beta 1 Gotham, so I'm confused as to what I'm doing wrong now.

maybe look again because there are clearly TWO Android option to download for beta3!

Damn, I see that now and feel like a complete idiot. I just now got the proper version installed.
Thanks for pointing out the obvious to an obvious Newb. Smile

Look better:
Quote:Current Beta3 Release: 13.0 “Gotham”
[...]
ARM – x86

Take ARM for the S4.

You are trying to open a 3.2 application on a 2.3.3 device.

Solution

Change the required API level tag android:minSdkVersion from the manifest file

or remove the required API level tag android:minSdkVersion.

That server seems to be shut down. Try googling "download xbmc-frodo-12.1-xaf-teg2-touch-20130503-8d75a5c004.apk" and see what you can find digging around the net a bit. Somebody must have a copy somewhere... Good Luck!

Edit: found something!

Also try this: http://www.androidauthority.com/xbmc-and...ed-137963/

There are versions at that link for Tegra going way back... and as recent as Isengard 15 Beta2! If you have a Non-Neon Tegra 2 processor I guess this is the place to go! Have fun!
