BD Playback Resume with PlayDisc
#1
Now, direct BD playback in Linux is feasible with PlayDisc and having MakeMKV decrypting in the background. See here

However, BD PlayDisc-Resume is not working. It's annoying to always re-start the movie at the beginning.

Back in 2010, the user Magnetism created a MakeMKVBluray plugin that ALWAYS gives the option to resume or start from the beginning. See here

If Magnetism doesn't mind, why not just use his subroutine to automaticaly bookmark the play position and resume instead of leaving the PlayDisc-Resume broken or trying to reinvent the wheel?

His MakeMKVBluray plugin still works great today with the latest Blurays, but it's a streaming solution where the stream can stall if trying too much to rewind/fast forward.

Hmm, mind if we move this thread to feature suggestions? I don't know much about development work, but this is more likely to be noticed there.

By all means, please go ahead and move this thread to feature suggestions if it will do more good over there. Thanks.
