Android XBMC 13 Gotham force closing on playback since Alpha 9 Version on HIMEDIA Q10-II
#1
Hello,

the program closes when I try to start a movie. Every alpha version of XBMX worked before the alpha 9. With the newest builds I am only able to play back .ts content. Any suggestions?
Something must have been changed since this version.

Untill alpha 8 the accellerated playback in HD and DTS / DD is working great without problems.

Edit: It seems to have something to to with the internal player which causes XBMC is closing. Using an external Player the video content starts playing without kicking out the app but I'm loosing other features as DD or DTS passthrough or that comfortable navigation.

I hope that it can be sloved somehow. Thanks for your help.

In order to have XMBC running on the Q10-II you need two things:

first step

Download the new beta firmware 1.0.5
https://www.mediafire.com/?erdii63qtve33qw

second step

Download XBMC 12.2 wich works with the obove firmware
http://www.mediafire.com/download/o5dvyc...player.apk

Works fine for me but only works on eMMC devices so be shure you got an eMMC device bevore installing the new firmware!!

Take care

The update 1.0.5 works a treat (had to hard flash) and after a little bit of tweaking in the setting on Android and in xbmc works a treat. All HD audio formats are passing through and 3d Smile.

Is there a way of it to recognize a blu ray folder like it does in himedia player itself? At the moment I have to browse to BDMV and then to the index.bdmv file.

My setup if it helps others (all via hdmi and Gb Ethernet)
Himedia q10 ii emmc
Onkyo AV receiver r-380
Samsung samsung eu46d7000 Tv
Buffalo LS-WXL96c 8TB

Yes, maybe. But I don't have an eMMC version and it does not work. It works with version alpha 8 and previous. Version alpha9 and later - till now - alpha12? It doesn't. It just kicks me out of xbmc right after starting a movie. :-(

It must have something to to with the internal DVD-Player which crashes. Using an external player it works but it is not the goal.
