Solved Not installing.
#1
I'm trying to install XBMC on a Windows 8 laptop. I went to the website, downloaded the .exe, double-clicked and allowed permissions to install, and...nothing. I've tried this multiple times. Not a single thing happens when I attempt to install it.

Has anyone else had this same problem? Does anyone know what's going on?

Nope.

Using the command line gives me the message "xbmc-12.3.exe is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program, or batch file."

I found what was causing the problem. It turns out that Norton was being a little TOO protective.

I uninstalled it and got XBMC to work with no problems.
