I have used xbmc years ago and was able to do this. I tried to do it again several years ago and couldn't and gave up. Trying again and can't figure it out.

This is what i would like to do:

I have videos that I want to import in and have a view like for movies where I can view by covers. Unfortunately these are not movies so no metadata available. I want to import videos in, add artwork (I have pics) and have it show up as a menu. Currently the only thing it shows up is as a list of file names, not a true menu. Please help. I think aeon mq5 skin looks good or anything like that.

The program has changed a bit over the years... I suggest you take advantage of the wiki's and consider a custom video node might fit your situation.
