Hi guys,
I have an old Fujitsu Amilo M7400 and I tried XBMCbuntu and it worked like a charm - light, smooth and really functional on this old machine.
Now, has this is a no PAE processor I had to use the xbmcbuntu-11.0.iso wich is based on Ubuntu 11.04 (or 11.10) not supported anymore and xbmcbuntu-12 is PAE kernel and nvidia/ati optimized.
and wen I tried to upgrade to 12.04 it broke the XBMC and the LXDE also.
Then I tried the other way around. Lubuntu 12.04 and then XBMC but with 2 problems: no smoothness and no direct entrance to XBMC.
So, having Ubuntu 12.04 minimal (no GUI) installed is there any way to "transform it" in XBMCbuntu" with this "light version" of LXDE?
appreciate any suggestions
