speed options

I am using the Gbox midnight x2 to run xbmc. I currently have dsl through at&t and my speed ranges from 2.3 to 2.8 mps. I am spending alot of time waiting on the buffering of streaming movies. I called AT&T about upgrading internet but was told I have the fastest internet at my current location. I do not have access to cable. My only other option is verizon hotspot. My question is, is there anything I can do to help my movie streaming. Every now and then I watch a movie with minimal stoppage. Last night it took 4 hours to watch a 2 hour movie. Thanks in advance for help.

Have you checked the Matricom Forums? http://matricom.net/forums/ One recommendation would be to clean the XBMC library on your G-Box. (System > Settings > Video > Clean Library). If XBMC still lags, and all you are trying to do is stream movie content off of the net, go to ******** on your G-Box browser and download Show Box. It probably has the same content you were trying to watch, but it gives you the option to watch at different resolutions or download for watching later.

It won't matter how fast your internet speed is, because the server on the other side that has the video is very very slow.

Please don't tell people where to pirate videos while on the XBMC forums. See Forum rules (wiki).
