Ok first off I will say im new to xbmc, with that being said i have googled and read for 2 days straight and I have read people with similar problem but in the post all it says is "thanks fixed".

Anyway here we go. Ok I have multiple sources all on the same hdd. eg:

F:/ TV shows
F:/ Movies
F:/ Adult

now the tv shows and movies are working fine, if i add the adult as a source it puts it in with the movies & kid movies (not cool) so, I try to create a playlist and add them but the list is empty, yes the source has been added and scanned. I have even changed themes and followed this video to the T.

but still the playlist is empty. btw im using windowns with frodo any help would be appreciated.

EDIT:

Ok, on my other install of xbmc running on openelec I added a playlist no problem, but then I changed themes and its gone now and doing the same thing? Is this a bug?

Sorry but i don't get what you want to achieve. Video files are either TV shows or Movies if you want to scrape them to the library.
If you want to seperate categories of videos in your main menu screen you are probably looking for smart playlists (wiki) or profiles (wiki)

For the first you might need to use a (modified) skin that supports using Smart Playlists as menu items.

thanks kib, seems the cd universe was not scraping properly. the other did now the playlist is showing properly. now any way to get the fan art to show for just what is in that playlist?
