Hi All,
I am having trouble with shutting down XBMC. Everytime I want to shutdown the application XBMC the process hangs and is not reacting anymore. I have tried it with the latest available Gotham Alpha. It appears that I have the same issues with Frodo. Unfortunately, I also do not see anything in the logs...
Regards,
Bilakos

XBMC closes down services in a procedural fashion which can take a bit of time ( heard this from a friend who complained he never could close XBMC without rebooting, turns out on some older slow systems 20 seconds & more are needed). The offender for XBMC not closing, is almost always 3rd party add-ons in some sort of loop waiting for an internet response that never will come.
Solution:
rename XBMC to XBMC_old (that means all XBMC refereences, in C: Roaming etc...) ineffect as if you don't have XBMC installed.
Install the latest stable XBMC
Launch.... add some source, play a vid
Exit, it's clean right? If not you have a problem leave us all a proper debug log.
Now start adding those 3rd party add-ons, conifg and run.... exit. (now you get to find the offender.)
