Intel® Bay Trail 'OPEN STB'
Hi,

i really would like to buy five of them.

However i need hdmi cec is this still included and if so is it compatible to libcec?

some more minor questions:
is this mainboard more or less the same as shown on the first page of this thread?

The mainboard one the first page got a sd card slot and some kind of emmc memory chip in the upper left corner (the chip from sandisk).

Is the micro sd card slot still part of the package? Will it boot from micro sd?

Does the SanDisk chip got any functionality?

Is it possible to mount the board in an mini itx case? As good as the internals sound as bad is the look of the case.

I even would like to buy five mainboard as five kits.

When will it be ready for shipping? I already had a look at your site. However the details over there are very confusing. I also subscribed to your mailing list.

Best regards

regnets

Ah i see it is a SDIN5D1-2G emmc flash chip with 2GByte of memory?

I think that the poster has explained that the platform has switched from the CE5300 to the J1900 - hence the loss of the HDMI in (which is a function of the CE5300 ISTR - as used in Google TV first gen boxes)

I guess they are a small operation who haven't properly updated their website yet... They may not have pictures of the new prototypes?

Thank you for your post. You are correct we are a small company and the product has switched from the CE5300 to the J1900. We will get the pictures on the site updated asap. Sorry for any confusion.

Just false advertising IMHO.

Is this using the older 2013 B3 stepping J1900 or the bug fixed 2014 C0 stepping that also includes Quicksync?

Thanks for confirming. Are you able to do any testing in Windows? If so, can you test HD Audio (DTS-HD MA) passthrough over HDMI? I have a theory that Intel also fixed this on the latest Baytrail steppings (C0+) but need someone to confirm. Otherwise, one would need to keep using Linux for HD Audio support.

To test, you just need to hook it up to an HDMI audio receiver and look at the control panel sound properties for the HDMI audio device. See if it lists any formats like AC3, DTS, etc. or just PCM,

Here is the latest Baytrail compatible video driver:

Hamk - will you be able to offer a version of this device with the new free version of Windows 8.1 with Bing?

Zotac are listing low cost PC's with this software, searching online it seems to be offered for free by Microsoft to oem's.

I know many users will prefer Linux based XBMC but I also like to use Amazon Instant Streaming.
