Intel Nuc i3 = XBMC
#1
I am looking into a solution to have XBMC set up in 3-4 rooms in the house. I dont really want to be spending more than £100/$150 on each device otherwise its getting expensive.

How would an i3 Intel Nuc hold up with XBMC playing 1080p movies?

Alternatively, i am looking at installing PLEX MS on my NAS and using plex to feed the house and use XBMC in the theater room. Plex set top boxes like the ROKU look around £70/$100 at the moment,.

Thanks

yes. i3 cpu will settle to near idle when decoding stream (all is done using hw decoding)
